My client is currently seeking to recruit a Group Compliance Manager to work as a senior member of the Management Group, responsible for advising management on all accounting issues, particularly US GAAP revenue recognition, and approving revenue recognition on all contracts.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will assume the role of Project Leader for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance which includes process mapping, controls documentation, remediation, testing of financial IT controls for Sarbanes-Oxley reporting.
Key Accountabilities:
§ Review and approval of sales contracts for US GAAP compliance
§ Advising management on all accounting issues particularly US GAAP revenue recognition
§ Project lead role on Sarbanes-Oxley project. Project will include:
§ Interviewing staff and documenting financial and IT controls
§ Assisting in mapping controls to COSO and COBIT matrices
§ Designing and executing a test plan for all control
§ Organizing work papers documenting compliance efforts
Essential Education and Experience
§ Business degree or equivalent 3rd level qualification. Membership of professional accounting body – ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA, CIA, CCSA
§ Suit qualified from Big 4 background with 5-10 years PQE working in a large internal audit department of a manufacturing*IT company at Assistant Manager level with prior experience of US GAAP revenue recognition and Sarbanes-Oxley audit procedures
§ Working knowledge of the ERP Oracle system
